The Split draw-top table was designed in 1990. It is one of the first not self-produced objects designed by Ron Arad. After being out of production for several years, in 2012 it is back again in the Centro Studi Poltronova catalogue. The re-issue of the Split table, as a fundamental part of Centro Studi Poltronova’s new agenda, pays homage to Arad’s approach in sculptural design and bears witness to its value over time. Split is a highly evocative object, a strong artistic presence, ideal for personalizing both formal and informal urban interior environments. The table has a top of solid laths of various wood types and a brushed steel structure and legs. The “comb-like” slot-in system makes the table extendable to twice its original length.
